Misty Mills - Head Girls Soccer Coach

Gainesville High School is excited to announce that Coach Misty Mills will transition into the role of Head Girls Soccer Coach.

Coach Mills joined Gainesville ISD during the 2024–2025 school year and has served as Assistant Girls Soccer Coach, Junior High Girls Soccer Coach, and most recently Interim Head Girls Soccer Coach later in the season.

In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Mills is an occupational therapist at GISD, with 23 years of experience in the profession, including 21 years in the school setting. Coaching has also been an important part of her life for more than 15 years, including nine years at the junior high and high school levels. In 2017, she started the girls soccer program at Graham High School and was named District Coach of the Year in 2023.

Coach Mills and her husband, Stephen, have been married for 22 years and have twin daughters who are graduating from Gainesville High School this year.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Coach Mills shared, “Building on the strong foundation already in place, and after meeting with the returning varsity players to hear their goals for the upcoming season and beyond, the focus for next season will be Accountability and Commitment—all year, from offseason to game day. My goal is to guide these young women to take ownership, compete every day, and represent the program with the standards we have set—on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.”

Congratulations, Coach Mills!
