Welcome Brandy Bolton - New Head Volleyball Coach

Gainesville ISD is pleased to announce Brandy Bolton as the new Head Volleyball Coach for the Lady Leopards, beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.

Coach Bolton brings a strong background in both high school and collegiate volleyball, along with extensive club coaching experience. Most recently, she coached for two years in the Byron Nelson High School volleyball program, contributing to a state championship‑winning team and a National Championship program.

Bolton also served as Director of Operations and Assistant Coach for the University of North Texas volleyball program from 2021–2022, where she gained valuable experience in collegiate‑level expectations, program management, and athlete development. In addition, she worked as the Middle School Coordinator and Upper School Assistant Coach at Fort Worth Country Day, playing a key role in program development and athlete progression across multiple levels.

Beyond the school setting, Bolton has been a head coach in club volleyball for more than seven years, working with a wide range of age groups and competitive levels while emphasizing skill development, discipline, and high‑level performance.

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead this program and am committed to building something that athletes, the school, and the community can be proud of,” Bolton said. “My focus is on long‑term success, athlete development, and creating a competitive environment where players can reach their full potential.”

Coach Bolton’s vision is to build a competitive, disciplined, and unified volleyball program that develops student‑athletes both on and off the court.

Establishing a Strong Culture
Bolton plans to develop a culture rooted in accountability, effort, and consistency. Athletes will have clear expectations and be held to standards that promote growth, respect, and a team‑first mentality.
Skill Development & Fundamentals
A major emphasis will be placed on mastering fundamentals such as ball control, serving consistency, defensive discipline, and offensive efficiency. Strong fundamentals will allow the Lady Leopards to compete with any program.
Building a Competitive Mindset
Practices will be intentional and game‑like, designed to prepare athletes to handle adversity and perform under pressure. Mental toughness and confidence will be key areas of focus.
Program Alignment (Top to Bottom)
Bolton plans to align all volleyball levels by establishing consistent terminology, systems, and expectations. This top‑to‑bottom approach supports long‑term success and smooth athlete progression.
Community Connection & Program Pride
Bolton is committed to building excitement around Gainesville Volleyball by engaging students, parents, and the community. She believes a strong and successful program extends beyond the court.

Gainesville ISD is excited to welcome Coach Brandy Bolton to the Leopard family and looks forward to the continued growth and success of Lady Leopard Volleyball under her leadership.
