Redcoat Marching Band
Home of the Redcoat Marching Band
Fostering school spirit, pride, and respect, the RedCoat Marching Band allows Gainesville High School students to gain skills in servanthood, leadership and discipline. Uniformity of both musical and visual performance, carriage, bearing, style, physical workouts and focus are required in the Redcoat Band. The Marching Band also prides itself in earning 6 times consecutive UIL Division I ratings, being an AREA Finalist band in 2015, earning a Best in Class trophy at the Golden Triangle Classic and being a Perennial Parade Band of the Red River. As an academic machine, the band also consistently populates the top 10% of the class at GHS, 90% of the members earn scholarships to college in every field. Redcoat students are involved in almost every activity in the school.
