College Fair

TRIO Talent Search students had a great time at the NorTex College Fair! This college fair is hosted by UNT and is attended by representatives from more than 150 colleges and universities in Texas and around the country. Students identified schools they might like to attend, developed questions to ask, and visited with college staff. They were able to pick up lots of information as well as freebies from the tables!

TRIO Talent Search is currently accepting applications for 7th, 8th, and 9th! The program is completely free, operates during the school day and is open to students in the 7th-12th grades. The Talent Search staff provides students with info on study skills, discovering and preparing for careers, info on registering and preparing for the SAT/ACT/TSI, along with many other services. Students are also able to attend college/career field trips…like NorTex! If your student would like to participate, s/he can pick up an application from the GJHS or GHS counselors or the front desk staff.
